Our traditional 20” wreath will bring back lots of memories. Hand harvested and crafted direct from our farm to your door. This wreath features balsam fir twigs, natural pine cones and berry clusters. We've also tied on a weather resistant bow to top it off and we’re sure it’ll look great on your front door.
The rich balsam aroma comes standard with all of our wreaths and this fragrance of Christmas will certainly put you in the holiday spirit!
*As all of our wreaths are individually hand crafted the image shown may not be identical to the product you receive. We'd welcome any and all feedback you may have via emailathello@NovaScotiaWreaths.ca.
Nova Scotia's cool, moist climate is ideal for growing balsam fir and since the turn of the century, Lunenburg County has been harvesting and exporting these balsams for Christmas trees and wreaths.
Our History
Because of its lush foliage, fragrant aroma and superior needle retention, Nova Scotia Balsam soon became the tree of choice throughout much of North America. By the 1950's annual exports had exceeded 3.5 million, half of which came from Lunenburg County.
Our Way of Life
Christmas trees and wreath making soon became a way of life of many Lunenburg County families and the knowledge and tradition was passed down from generation to generation.
Our Future
Only the tips are harvested from the balsam trees on our farm to sustain future growth. The trees are not cut down or harmed when harvesting wreaths and the tips will regrow for years to come.
